Joint Venture

A joint venture in the film business refers to a collaboration between two or more companies or individuals to produce, finance, and distribute a film.

In a joint venture, the partners pool their resources and expertise to bring a project to market, sharing the risks and rewards of the venture.

Joint ventures can take many forms, ranging from simple co-financing agreements to complex partnerships that involve multiple partners in multiple countries. They are a common way for studios and independent producers to get access to additional funding and distribution channels, and can also help to reduce the risk associated with film production by spreading it across multiple partners.
