🎬 Groundbreaking Opportunity for Film & TV Professionals in Kenya and Rwanda Fully Funded Intimacy Coordinator Training – Applications Now Open Safe Sets, in partnership with GIZ, Multichoice Talent Factory Eastern Africa Academy and the Kenya Film Commission, is proud to announce a fully funded training opportunity for emerging Intimacy Coordinators in Kenya and Rwanda as part of an exciting new initiative to support safe, respectful, and professional environments on East African film and TV sets.

We are seeking two Kenyan and one Rwandan professionals to join our internationally recognized 2025/26 Intimacy Coordinator Training Course. This groundbreaking programme supports the introduction of the Intimacy Coordinator role in East Africa—providing cast and crew with expert support when working on scenes involving intimate content. This role is becoming a vital part of international film and television production, ensuring that storytelling involving intimacy is handled with care, creativity, and safety.

Fully funded by GIZ with additional support by Multichoice Talent Factory and Kenya Film Commission: No course fees or training costs International certification in Intimacy Coordination.

  • Training includes:
  • 8-week Online Training (3 hours/week)
  • 6-day In-Person Intensive
  • Induction: Starts 4th August 2025
  • Training begins: Week of 11th August 2025
  • All training and materials are delivered in English

Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: 28th June 2025 @ 23:59 (GMT)
  • Shortlisting Notification: By 5th July 2025
  • Interviews: 7th July – 10th July 2025
  • Final Selection: 13th July 2025 (GMT)

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for experienced professionals working in film, television, theatre or related arts, with the following qualifications:

  • A degree in directing, movement, or acting and 5+ years of industry experience OR At least 7 years of professional experience with relevant credits
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to respectful, inclusive, and safe working practices
  • Willingness to learn and lead in this emerging field
  • Fluent English and access to fast, reliable internet
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Must provide a current police background check/certificate of good conduct, or proof that one is in progress

Preferred (But Not Required) Experience


â—Ź On-set experience and understanding of production workflow

â—Ź A background in teaching, mentorship, or facilitation

â—Ź Knowledge of mental health or trauma-informed practices in the arts

â—Ź Prior training or interest in intimacy work or consent-based practice
